As you may have already heard this past June And July were the hottest on record for Denver. And even though August has finally brought in some cooling summer relief. As Ed Greene explained on Thursday nights 10pm news, there is another record that we may break this season. That is the number of 90-plus degree days for a summer season from May through September.
The record for number of 90-plus degree days is a total of 61 days set in the year 2000. As of Friday, Denver has seen a total of 59 days. That puts this summer third on the list of most 90-plus degree days. And with at least three 90 degree days in the forecast through the middle of next week. It looks like Denver will break that record of 61 days.
